XVII.                                                                                 Table I

Listing of mean score performance of Four Basic Sub-Types on Psychometric Tests

- Translated to Rank-Order Form = Number 1 indicates lowest mean score.

                                                    = Number 4 indicates highest mean score.

- The asterisk (*) indicates statistically significant differences of mean scores from scores  in other columns.
               For example, under Rigidity, the sub-type Sacrifice for Reward Later subjects produced a mean score
              on this dimension which was statistically significantly different from the sub-types represented in columns
              2, 3 and 4.

{In order to provide information for further research, I have taken the Dimension Measured listing of testing variables, as listed in the original presentation paper of Dr. Graves, and reorganized them. I have grouped these testing variables according to the possible source of the tests used.

Some of the test references are taken from the work of a close colleague Dr. O. J. Harvey, University of  Colorado. Dr. Graves and Dr. Harvey, communicating with each other over the years, used many of the same tests in their research.

A primary source for this testing information was: Experience Structure & Adaptability, O. J. Harvey, Springer Publishing Company, Inc. New York 1966.

On some of the tests I was only able to provide testing variable definitions. There are four conceptions of healthy personality from Dr. Graves’ initial studies:

- SNFRL = (Sacrifice Now For Reward Later)

                         - ESC = (Express Self Calculatedly)

                         - SNFAN = (Sacrifice Now For Approval Now)

                         - ESWCFO = (Express Self With Concern for Others).

I have numbered these conceptions based on Dr. Graves’ continuing research findings as {4} {5} {6} {7}.}
