A phenomenal view of certain beliefs of the subjects

- - beliefs as to the nature of psychologically healthy behavior.

Reaction of subjects to peer criticism as shown in the
defense or modification of the conception produced.
3.
Interaction and reaction behavior of subjects when under
peer criticism as observed unbeknown
to
subjects through one way mirrors and an intercommunication system.
4.
Relation to confrontation with authority as shown in the
second conception defense or
modification.
5.
Some interview data from discussions with randomly
selected subjects after primary experiences

The Processing of the Data:
1.
Independent judges classified the conceptions.
2.
Study of classifications in relation to peer criticism.
3.
Study of classifications in relation to authority
criticism.
4.
Study of peer interaction data.
5.
Cross checking results of 2, 3, 4, with randomly selected
through interviews.

Results of Phase II:
1.
In all runs through the data approximately 60% of the
conceptions fell into two categories
of
two subtypes each:
A.
Deny/Sacrifice Self Category
a.
Deny/Sacrifice Self for reward later
b.
Deny/Sacrifice Self to get acceptance now
B.
Express Self Category
a.
Express Self as self desires in a calculating fashion and
at the expense of others
b.
Express Self as self desires but not at the expense of others
